I was looking for something that would keep my coffee hot for a good majority of the day. I also needed something that was leak proof as it would set on my desk and I would more than likely knock it over multiple times a day.
This tumbler is it! I make my coffee at 6am and even at 1 or 2 in the afternoon, if I have any left it's still hot. It has and easy slide open and close that is easy to drink from, so dribbling. Keep liquids cold it works just as well and for a longer time period. I have put water in my only a couple of times.
The BEST feature is that it is COMPLETELY leak proof. Once closed, even shaking it upside down, not even one drop escapes. Game changer for me. Sometimes I have my hands full and I will set the tumbler inside my purse and it will invariably fall over. No worries, nothing spills or drips out.
Thermos is a long standing brand. My dad still has his green thermos that he would take to work, so I knew the quality was second to none.
Washing it is easy enough with a glass washing sponge (the ones with the long handle). However a wash cloth and table knife works well too if your hand is like mine and won't fit all the way to the bottom.
Mine has dents from dropping it on concrete and it still didn't affect the performance.
Taking the lid apart and reassembling it is a little tricky the first time. I just made sure I paid attention to the order of the pieces and the which way the seals went.
Over the years I have replaced it once with the same one just different color one. I would say after and I've given them as gifts. My dad loves his because he would put it in his coat pocket to keep his hands free. He'd take it hunting.
After I would say 5 years the length of time it stays hot diminishes some. But the leakproof feature remains intact.
I love all the colors it comes in. Mine does not have a handle but Thermos does make one with a handle.
Pros: Leakproof. Liquids stay hot for over 6 hours and cold for double that. Easy to drink from. Easy to hold. The many colors. The brand Thermos. Quality.
Cons: is there one? Maybe disassembling the lid, just have to pay attention and then it's not hard..it only goes back together one way.

It looks good. However, removing the ridiculous wraparound label, leaves a gum residue. I took off 2 stars for the gum residue, Otherwise, it would have been 5 stars! ''! After receiving the cup yesterday, my preliminary review was 3 stars.Update #1Afterwards, when I tried to remove the two silly labels from the bottom, including the barcode label, it left behind a gum residue, that is more persistent than the gum residue left by the wraparound label. I have successfully removed the gum from the side of the cup, where the wraparound label was, However, I could not remove all the residue from the bottom of the cup. I bought a chrome cup, because I wanted the shiny silver color of the chrome steel, not stupid labels. It's called stainless steel, but the dumb manufacturer, finds a way to stain it before you buy it! Manufacturers should not ruin the product before they sell it! ''!Update #2I called the Customer service department of Thermos. The agent wasn’t helpful at all! She hung up on me.I called the Thermos Headquarters:Thermos L.L.C. - Corporate Headquarters475 N. This isn’t an issue for me, since, I keep the cup in a cup holder and I never invert it while it’s being used.The redesigned cover solved all the problems, that I had with the cover.
