As several other reviewers have mentioned, this product is made of a very, very soft leather - quite pleasant to the touch. The passport pocket can either accommodate either the front or rear cover of your passport, so that the passport can be flipped open and examined without being removed from the cover, or the entire passport itself, albeit snugly. I like to put mine in completely, with the spine of the passport out of the pocket and towards the center fold of the passport cover; I feel it protects the loose pages from wear and tear. 3 slots for credit cards, plus there is a small area for paper money. The leather is stamped with "PASSPORT" on the front and "Genuine Leather" on the back, but the stamps don't look very professional, and I wish they had simply left them off. (See the photos I uploaded for reference.) I actually wasn't convinced that it was made of real leather at first; I held it over an open flame to see if it was plastic and would melt -- it did not. All in all this product is decent to use as a protective cover for one's passport, or as a wallet if you carry VERY LITTLE in your wallet (e.g.: 2 credit cards and a driver's license, plus a little cash).

    ignore the poor reviews please. This is a genuine leather case, and you can tell it's good leather. I don't see it falling apart. This is not a fashion statement, it's meant to keep your passport and some cards/money safe when traveling. I plan to keep my medical and debit cards with my passport in a safe place in my backpack. I'll keep my money and credit card in a wallet in my pocket. It will be nice to have the important stuff kept together but still tucked away so i don't have to worry about it. Inside this wallet is a price tag of $25. I would not pay that much for it but at $10 it's a very good pice. You can tell from the picture, with the passport in the right orientation, the cards are upside down. There is a slot the back of the passport slides into, but for some reason the slots make the cards fit in to what I think is backwards. Not a big deal, just something to keep in mind. I was a bit confused when mine first showed up.

    A passport holder plus credit card holders. I wasn't expecting much for something less than $10. But I didn't want to put my passport by itself whiling renewing it so I bought this to give it a cover. The leather quality is very good. I think it is as good as premium leather jacket. It fits right in yet very easy for quick removal. But I don't think anybody need to take it out of the cover in the air port.

    I love this extra credit card pockets. It allow me to keep my SSN and other emergency credit card in there.

    I had my old one for 4 years and it stayed in my back pocket the entire 4 years. So there was a lot of damage to the old one. So it was time for a new one.

    I just needed a "plain Jane" passport cover, and I was surprised to receive this nice leather product. It is real leather ( did not expect that) and well made, I travel a lot and it has already been through a long trip to several foreign countries, including hours on end in my back pocket (long story lol!) and it still looks and smells like new!

    Do not buy this. The leather itself is nice, but a passport does not fit as shown in the picture. You can get it to fit if you force it but it crumples the pages and does not stay closed without a rubber band around it. I would return it but it was so cheap to begin with its not even worth the money to ship it back. Save your time, spend a little more to get any other passport case but this one.

    I used this wallet for my last trip to China. It held my passport, credit cards, and China dollars well. I thought the wallet would be large for my jeans, but it isn't. It's not that practical when using it for cash but at least it stays put. I was disappointed when the seam where the credit card pockets ripped from the side. I ended up using super glue to remedy the problem. I will continue to use it for my next overseas trip.

    I bought this passport cover to replace one that I had for several years. It has fewer card slots than I would have liked. My previous passport holder had slots on both sides. However the fewer slots keeps me from overstuffing it. I live and work overseas and need to carry my passport with me at all times. I almost always keep my passport holder in my front pant pocket. Thus it gets a lot of wear. So far after several months of use this passport holder has held up extremely well with no signs of wear.
